A Lei Brown header put Romulus in front against Chesham United in the Southern Midlands One league clash

Southern Midlands One

Chesham United 0

Romulus 3

ROMULUS stunned one of the Zamaretto Midland Division pace setters with another stellar performance, winning 3-0 at Chesham United.

The visitors were the better side throughout and took the lead after ten minutes as Lei Brown directed his header home from Nick Heath's cross.

The goals that killed the game came in quick succession early in the second half and both came from the same unlikely source.

Brown's well flighted free kick struck the post on 49 minutes but defender Richard Munday was on hand to finish off the rebound.

Then Munday got on the end of Heath's free kick just two minutes later to head home and secure a vital three points.

It was the Roms fourth straight win in all competitions and moves them up to ninth in the league, just five points off the play-off places.

Meanwhile, Roms under-16s won their return game against Kidderminster in the Midland Junior Premier Football League Cup in convincing style.

A fine first half display put the game beyond doubt with goals from Courtney Richards, Ralph Clarke, Reiss Gibbs and Dale Collins making it 4-0.

Declan Kirby added a fifth in the second half before Kidderminster scored a late consolation. Man of the match was Mac Simmons.

The under-15s were unfortunate to be on the end of a 10-0 defeat at Long Buckby. Ryan Burgwin was their star man.
