Commonwealth star Broadhurst is the mandatory challenger for Lee Haskins' British title but any fight will not take place until the end of the year now.
Broadhurst said: "You just have to be patient but I am ready and willing whenever they are ready to go. There are a lot of politics involved when it comes to these kind of title fights but hopefully we will be able to get something sorted for the end of the year.
"I have had some tough fights against some useful African boxers in recent times but I think that people look forward to a proper domestic dust up – it has a higher profile.
"I have had a good break since my last fight but I'm back in the gym working hard again now and I'll be confident and ready whenever the fight comes round."
Broadhurst is still looking for sponsorship and believes companies should be looking to buy into what he has to offer.
"I am already a Commonwealth champion with a British title fight potentially looming and then I want to be in a position to take on the world," he said.
"Now it the time for local companies to get involved in supporting me.
"These are exciting times for British boxing. Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe's might be at an end but you have all the Olympians like Frankie Gavin and James DeGale.
"You have Amir Khan, Carl Froch, Matthew Macklin, Darren Barker, Kell Brook, Jamie Cox, Nathan Cleverley, Tyson Fury – the list goes on really.
"And I plan to be at the forefront of British boxing."
