Your opinions are wanted, vows MP
Andrew Mitchell's questionnaire seeks constituents' opinions on immigration, alongside localised topics, and is attached to a report which will soon arrive at more than 40,000 households.
The annual document, published jointly between Mr Mitchell and the town's Conservative councillors, sets out elected members' accounts of various challenges in the constituency.
They range from crime and education to matters specific to the area, such as the regeneration of Sutton town centre. The report says 'Sutton Coldfield deserves a town centre more fitting for its ancient status as a royal town', adding that it is still 'set for the boost it needs' once the downturn eases its grip on development plans.
It adds that Sutton has a chance of 'making real lasting change and attracting the essential economic investment that can make that happen'.
Views on the regeneration bid are sought as part of the survey, along with residents' perceptions of standards in Sutton schools and Good Hope Hospital.
Mr Mitchell said: "I sincerely hope that as many residents as possible reply.
"I am looking forward to hearing people's views on the issues that are important to them. I will personally reply to all those who take the time to complete and return the survey."
He added: "Having had the privilege of serving the people of Sutton for nine years, I am keenly conscious of the importance of regularly reporting back to my constituents."
