Great Midlands Fun Run set for 2010 launch
The date to mark in the diary is Friday, February 19, when entry forms will be printed in the Observer and online registration will be launched.
On Saturday, February 20 entrants will be able to register in person at Empire Cinema between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
Runners can even send an email to entry@greatmidlandsfunrun.com, stating their name, mailing address and how many application forms they require.
Entrants should be aware they will need a form for each person who wants to register.
This year's event will be held on Sunday, June 6 at 11am.
Event director Tracey Spare said: "We have 6,000 places available in this year's Great Midlands Fun Run, to be staged on Sunday, June 6.
"With nearly that number registering last year, those wanting to participate need to register as early as possible to guarantee their place in the 2010 Fun Run.
"John Taylor Hospice is looking to double its team entry to 350 and schools in Sutton including Arthur Terry, Streetly, Highclare and Bishop Vesey are all expecting to register large teams.
"With interest from across the country, the advice is to register early to avoid disappointment."
Last year's GMFR raised more than £200,000 for charities and good causes across the region.
