ANOTHER sizzling night of burlesque is set to get Lichfield going weak at the knees later this month – and all in aid of charity.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang presents Jungle Boogie at The George Hotel in Bird Street on Saturday, June 13.

"The nights are going from strength to strength and seem to get better and better as well as more and more ridiculous," said organiser Anthony Evans.

"The word seems to have spread about how good the night is.

"We've now had audience members from Birmingham, Swindon, London and even Bournemouth and even the performers themselves have been saying they think Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is one of the best Burlesque nights in the UK."

The next event – again raising money for Breast Cancer Care – is also something of a first for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, with Fred Bear lined up as the night's first male burlesque performer.

But for those enamoured with the fairer sex, don't despair – a handful of glamorous ladies will be on hand to demonstrate their expertise as well.

The beautiful Keda Breeze, Frankii Wilde, Poppy Von Tarte and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang's very own Sherry Trifle will perform at the night, which is against to be hosted by Stage Door Johnny.

Fancy dress is not compulsory but strongly encouraged.

Theme suggestions include: Me Tarzan, You Jane; chimps; birds of paradise; hula girls; cannibals; voodoo priests; pith helmets; safari suits; animal print; bone jewellery and Lions And Tigers And Bears Oh My.

"As always there will be surprises on the night – who knows what animals you will find in the depths of our jungle so get working on these costumes," said Anthony.

"So search out those maps and dust off your binoculars as we venture into the heart of the undergrowth."

Tickets for the last show sold out in a flash, so acting with haste is suggested.

"It's really nice that the community have got themselves involved in supporting the night," added Anthony.

"The George, Silks, G-scapes and Glitz have all gone beyond donating prizes."

Tickets cost £15 each and are available from the Lichfield Garrick Box Office on 01543 412121.
