Sweet enough... Sugababes have joined the line-up for this summer's Midlands Music Festival in line-up.

EXCLUSIVE: The UK's biggest girlband is coming to Tamworth after being added the star-studded line-up for this summer's Midlands Music Festival.

Talented pop trio Sugababes are set to sweeten up the stage when they perform in the town on August 8, alongside Blue, Lemar, Liz McClarnon and X Factor favourites JLS.

"This is something we couldn't have hoped for in our wildest dreams – one of this country's biggest acts coming to perform right on our doorstep," festival co-organiser Jem Sanders told the Herald.

"With the girls joining what is already an amazing line-up, it is going to be a fantastic gig.

"It will better than any festival of its kind this year and Sugababes take it to another level."

As many as 14,000 people will head to Tamworth's Castle Pleasure Grounds for the one-day fund-raising spectacular, which has been organised by premature baby charity Just 1 Life.

The charity event will be split into two parts; a family fun day with live entertainment from 10.30am to 5.30pm, featuring Right Said Fred and Chico, and an evening show with performances from some of the country's most successful acts.

Sugababes' Keisha Buchanan, Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah will open the festival's evening extravaganza at 6pm, which will close with special 45-minute set from headliners Blue.

Tickets for the Midlands Music Festival are on sale now and organisers are urging Tamworth residents to get in on the action.
