Robin needs a Maid Marion

Thursday, February 11, 2010, 12:10

CINDERELLA has only just finished brushing away the cobwebs and there's already a new pantomime set to storm Tamworth this Christmas.

Following the success of its latest production, the Tamworth Panto Company is busy planning its next theatre adventure – Robin Hood.

The popular legend will swap Sherwood Forest for Hopwas Woods, as he gallops into the Tamworth Assembly Rooms.

Robin and his merry men are out to rob from the rich and give to the poor, and are currently on the hunt for the Staffordshire gold.

The group is holding auditions throughout February for anybody who would like to be in Robin Hood, and are particularly interested in finding a new Maid Marion.

Any young females aged between 16 and 25 with a good singing voice are encouraged to apply, so if you think you could be the next leading lady, or you know where to find the love of Robin's life, Tamworth Panto Company wants to hear from you.

The Tamworth Panto Company Youth Academy also has spaces for new members. Anyone aged between six and 16, who is interested in learning dance, singing, acting and stagecraft,, should get in touch.

For an audition or to help behind the scenes, call Alex on 07825213197, email tina@tamworthpantocompany.co.uk or visit www.tamworthpantocompany.co.uk.
