Sarah Jane Buckley stars as Eva Cassidy at the Lichfield Garrick on February 2 and 3.
Over The Rainbow is being performed at the Lichfield Garrick and follows Cassidy's story through 'dramatic scenes and stunning live renditions of her music'.
The show contains original footage from Cassidy's life from an early age and culminates in her death from cancer in 1996.
It also features a 'haunting interpretation' of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, the song which projected her to fame in the UK.
The production stars Sarah Jane Buckley, pictured, (Hollyoaks), David Paisley (River City, Holby and Casualty) and Donna Hazleton (winner of Channel 4's Musicality).
A spokesman for the production said:
"This show pays a genuine and heartfelt tribute to a true artist who was not interested in fame and fortune, but wanted nothing more than to create beautiful music."
Cassidy died aged 33, and within two years she was discovered by Terry Wogan, who played her song on his radio show.
Her album topped charts in countries including the UK, Europe and Australia.
The spokesman added: "From its first performance in 2004, Over The Rainbow has moved people immensely with sell-out performances and standing ovations throughout the UK and Europe.
"This is more than the life story of Eva Cassidy, it's a show for anyone who's lost someone they love."
