CROSSROADS star Jane Rossington returns to the Lichfield Garrick this February half-term in the magical production of the classic children's story, The Snow Queen.

Bringing with her a touch of magic to the Castle Dyke theatre, Jane stars in this evergreen fairytale of the frozen north.

She will head the cast in this stunning production of the classic Hans Christian Andersen story.

The play takes you to a winter wonderland – but there's a twist in the tale.

The Snow Queen captures Kay, a young orphan, and takes him away to her ice palace.

But she didn't bargain for his fearless sister, Gerda, who sets out to rescue him.

On Gerda's adventure she meets the Tsar of Russia, Princess Popishka, the funny robbers and a host of colourful animal characters, including cuddly Mossy the Reindeer.

But, just who is the Snow Queen and why is her heart so cold? Is she really planning to rule the world in a new ice age?

This captivating production is terrific half-term entertainment for all the family and features the stunning and exquisite designs of Elizabeth Waghorn.

The Snow Queen will run at the Lichfield Garrick from Tuesday, February 16, to Saturday, February 20.
