Onus on us to win home games
With our win at Willenhall, and Glapwell losing at home, the weekend brought us a little closer to them in the table.
We still feel a bit aggrieved about losing at their place earlier in the season – we battered them for 90 minutes and didn't deserve to get beaten.
Being at home, the onus is on us and it's a big game at a crucial stage of the season.
Mickleover are at home on the same day too – and we can't let them get further away.
They have opened up a bit of a gap at the top, which was something I spoke about a few weeks ago, hoping we could do it.
The league was so tight there was always a chance one side would put a run together and create a bit of daylight between themselves and the pack – and Mickleover have done that.
We lost there early in the season but they were struggling at that time – I don't know whether they've brought some players in or had a bit of money to strengthen but they have turned things around.
No team wins 13 games on the bounce without having something about them so they deserve great credit.
Going back to the Willenhall win, we were disappointed not to win by more than one goal but it was a dour game on a wet and boggy pitch.
After going 1-0 up so early on, people probably start to think it might be a rout but sometimes an early goal can kill a game and that's what happened.
But we missed out on a good chance to bang a few goals in – and with the league being as tight as it is, goal difference might come into play.
We've got a busy period coming up now with games on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I think the gaffer is going to strengthen the squad – he says everyone has a part to play.
It's going to be non-stop until the end of the season now but we're all raring to go.
